OBITUARY: Preparing For European Tour
December 15, 2005OBITUARY frontman John Tardy has posted the following message on the band's official web site:
"Thanks to all of you that showed up in Ybor City for our show on Friday night. Once again a great show in Tampa and it is always good to see all of our local fans, close friends and family. We did some filming for our new video that night and I will let you know when that is ready. We have a really cool idea for this video and even though Roadrunner Records has decided not to support our new album 'Frozen in Time' anymore we felt it important to do this video on our own.
"Our focus now shifts towards getting ready for our European tour set for January. Over the summer we did lots of festivals over seas, but for most of them the new CD was not out yet so we didn't play much of the new stuff. We now have a whole new set that is filled with new songs and it is gonna be heavy!!! See you in January!!!
"I have been getting lots of email from our fans in the U.S. We have not forgotten about you and we are working on setting up shows here at home and in South America and Canada. I should know more about these shows shortly and as soon as I do I will let you know."
As previously reported, OBITUARY shot a video for the track "On the Floor" at their December 9 concert at the Masquerade in Ybor City, Florida.
OBITUARY's latest CD, "Frozen in Time", was released in July via Roadrunner Records. The group's first collection of new songs since 1997's "Back from the Dead" was self-produced by the band, with Mark Prator and Scott Burns engineering, and was mastered by Tom Morris at Morrisound.
